Equipment Mix That Fits the Site

The Malaysian site had a flatter plot and a tighter budget, so the mix concentrated on a slide complex with climbing and swing structures around it. The Philippine site offered more space and natural height, so the layout used the terrain for slide runs and added a larger climbing element. In both cases the anchor attraction went in first and the supporting play was arranged around it.

Surfacing and Shade in a Tropical Climate

Impact surfacing depth follows the tallest fall height, and both parks used surfacing that drains rather than holds water. Shade went over the busiest structures and the seating before additional equipment was purchased, which extended usable hours through the middle of the day. Planting was kept low so supervising adults retain sight lines across the play area.

Daily Operation and Staffing

Both parks run a short opening routine: visual check of structures and surfacing, tighten or report anything loose, then open. Attendants are stationed where the whole zone is visible, and the closing check covers litter, water pooling and any damage reported during the day. Staffing stays modest, which is one reason operators choose non-powered park projects in the first place.

What Both Projects Had in Common

Neither project needed heavy power infrastructure, long construction programmes or specialist ride operators, and both were built in phases so revenue funded the second stage.
