Swings are the only playground item that every age group uses in the same minute, and that is why they belong at the centre of a family zone.

A well planned swing frame serves a two year old and a twelve year old at once, which no single piece of climbing equipment can do.

swing structure frames

Family Swing Structure Specifications

The frame is a steel structure supporting multiple swing positions, which can be configured with classic strap seats, basket swings for young children, or nest swings that let several children and an adult swing together. The layout can run in a straight line or wrap around a circular frame that becomes a gateway feature for the zone. Surfacing, seat spacing and the clear swing envelope are defined in the layout drawing before fabrication starts.

Everyone Swings at Different Speeds

The reason swings work across ages is that the guest controls the energy. A toddler in a basket swing, a child on a strap seat and a teenager on a rope swing can all use the structure simultaneously without competing. Placing the frame beside a jungle adventure playground gives parents a natural meeting point and keeps the busiest equipment on the edge of the site rather than the centre.

Inclusive Seating: Baskets and Nests

Basket and nest swings are the most requested inclusive equipment in modern parks, because they allow a parent to swing with a child or a guest with limited mobility to take part. Specify them at the design stage – retrofitting a frame with a bigger seat changes the swing envelope, the clearances and often the surfacing depth as well.

Chains, Rope and Frame Inspection

Suspension components are the wear items, so inspect chains, shackles and steel wire rope for wear and corrosion, check seat fixings and bushes for play, and confirm concrete footings have not cracked or lifted. A monthly torque check on frame bolts and a written log keep the structure safe through years of daily use.

Customization

Options you can specify before production starts: Frame size, swing mix, colours, roof shade and layout shape.

Our 125,000 m² production base covers fabrication, moulding, assembly and testing under one roof, so custom work and standard production run side by side without competing for capacity. Non-powered structures ship with fall height data and surfacing recommendations for every platform and slide exit.

Send your plot plan and surfacing preference – we will return a layout with fall heights, shade strategy and a phased equipment list.
