A carousel is the one attraction every generation rides, and in a market where families visit together it earns from the moment the park opens.

This project installed a 36 seat carousel as the centrepiece of a family zone, with lighting designed for evening trading as well as daytime use.

Platform Layout and Position

The carousel was placed where the main walkways meet, so it becomes the meeting point of the park and the background of most guest photographs. Boarding sits on the quiet side of the platform, and the queue lane is kept separate from the exit so loading and unloading never cross.

Figures, Finish and Lighting

Figures and trim were specified for outdoor use with UV stable finishes, and the lighting programme was designed for the evening rather than added as decoration. Music and lighting run as one show so the ride reads as a single attraction from a distance.

Installation and Commissioning

Assembly followed the standard sequence: platform and centre column, rotating frame and drive, then figures, trim and lighting. Commissioning covered drive, brake, restraint checks and the lighting programme, and staff training covered start-up, loading discipline and shutdown.

Maintenance and Spares

The routine covers the centre bearing, drive and brake, platform fixings and the figure and seat connections that guests touch daily. Keeping lamps, restraint parts and a set of figure fittings on site means a fault costs hours rather than a weekend – the same approach we recommend for every carousel installation.

Customization and Site Fit

Customization covers the parts guests actually notice: Colours, theme, figures, lighting and music.

Every unit leaves a 125,000 m² factory in China with test records, drawings and a recommended spares list, which is what a manufacturing partner should hand over rather than simply invoice. Project work includes layout drawings, phased equipment lists and documentation you can hand straight to a local contractor.

Give us the site details and the deadline you are working to – we will map the phases, the equipment and the cost outline against it.
