The client needed to move guests across a large site and turn that movement into an attraction at the same time – which is exactly what a trackless train does.

The train runs a fixed loop with stations at the entrance, mid-park and the far end, so it reduces walking distance instead of simply touring the site.

Route and Station Planning

The route was planned like a transport line: wide enough for carriages to pass safely, avoiding gradients beyond the train’s capability, and with boarding points where guests naturally arrive. Station platforms were kept clear of the main walkway so boarding never blocks circulation during peak hours.

Configuration and Capacity

Carriage count followed the peak flow between stations, and the train length was checked against the tightest corner on the route. Diesel and electric versions suit different sites: electric for enclosed or quiet zones, diesel for long outdoor loops. Our trackless tourist train range covers the common configurations used on projects like this.

Driver Training and Guest Safety

Drivers were trained on the actual route: speed limits at corners, stopping positions at each station, boarding rules and the correct response if a guest stands up. Station attendants control boarding during peaks, and written rules are posted at each stop.

Servicing a Vehicle That Works Daily

The train runs every day, so maintenance is scheduled: daily brake, tyre, light and coupling checks, weekly drive and steering inspection, and monthly chassis review. Keeping spare wheels, brake parts and lamps on site keeps the train in service rather than parked as an attraction that no longer runs.

Tailoring the Installation

Site-specific choices include: Route, carriage design, capacity, power type and livery.

The manufacturer here is the factory itself: design, steelwork, moulding, assembly and testing all happen inside a 125,000 square metre production base, and every unit is run under load before it is packed. Project work includes layout drawings, phased equipment lists and documentation you can hand straight to a local contractor.

Give us the site details and the deadline you are working to – we will map the phases, the equipment and the cost outline against it.
