This was one of our larger non-powered projects in Southeast Asia, and the design brief was simple: keep families on site for three hours without a single motor.
The park combined a slide complex with climbing and swing structures, arranged so guests move through the site rather than queue at one attraction.

Zoning a Large Play Area
The plot was divided into a main play zone, a toddler area and a shaded family zone with seating and service points. The slide complex sat where it is visible from the entrance, while older childrens climbing equipment was placed furthest from the toddler area to keep supervision simple and reduce collisions.
Equipment Selected for Tropical Use
Structures were specified for heat, humidity ug kusog nga ulan: protected steel frames, UV stable finishes and netting that keeps its strength when wet. Impact surfacing was chosen to drain rather than hold water, and fall heights were recorded on the layout so the park can check depths on a schedule.
Installation and Handover
The equipment shipped in phases so the park could open its main zone first and complete the secondary areas afterwards. Installation ran under factory supervision with local labour, followed by commissioning checks and staff training on daily inspection, supervision positions and capacity control.
Running a Non-Powered Park Profitably
Without machines, the operating cost is staffing, cleaning and surfacing maintenance – which is why the park carries a small team and keeps entry pricing simple. The same logic is described in our guide to a non powered amusement park, and the safety approach follows recognised playground practice such as SA 1176.
