Because the structure is compact, installation normally needs only a small crane and a prepared foundation rather than major civil works.

Installation, Wind Load and Inspection
Even a small wheel needs the foundation designed against the soil report and the local wind load, because the rim acts as a sail when empty. The assembly sequence, bolt torque values and the electrical connection to the drive should come from the manufacturer’s drawings, and the inspection routine covers the roue d'observation centre bearing, cabin hangers, braking and the emergency lowering procedure.
