Not every city can host a giant wheel, but almost any park can host a twenty metre one – and for a small destination that is often the difference between a park and a landmark.
This is the equipment that suits plots measured in hundreds of square metres rather than hectares, and it is also the project we deliver most often for city parks.

A wheel of this size sits on reinforced concrete pads rather than deep foundations. The equipment is built by the same ride manufacturer that supplies the spare parts and documentation.

Fitting the Wheel to the Plot
At this size the constraint is rarely height – it is the ground footprint, the turning circle of the delivery truck and the space needed for the crane. We start from the site survey, mark the cabin sweep and the access route, and only then confirm the wheel position. If the plot is tight, the station and the queue can be arranged on the quieter side without reducing capacity.
Foundations That Suit Local Contractors
A twenty metre wheel needs only small concrete pads rather than deep foundations, which keeps civil works within reach of a local contractor. We supply the anchor bolt layout, concrete specification and torque requirements, and ask for photographs of the completed pads before shipment. That single step prevents the most common installation delay.
Assembly and Electrical Connection
The wheel ships in container sections, assembles around the centre hub and is checked against the foundation line before the cabins are hung. Electrical connection, earthing and the lighting package are completed by local electricians working to our schematic, and the drive is tested through a full rotation before guests board. A typical installation of this size completes within a short window with one crane.
Operating a Small Wheel Profitably
Small wheels earn through long opening hours rather than high prices: families ride in the evening, lighting turns the wheel into the park’s night time image, and the ride needs only one or two attendants. Ons 66m reuzenrad uses the same operating logic at a larger scale, so a park that starts small can step up later without changing its routines.
Ontwerpopties
