Double Flying Ride

Some rides are made for sharing, and a double flying ride is one of them – two seats side by side mean nobody rides alone, and groups of four book two units together.

Two-seat flying rides solve a practical problem as well as a social one: they raise capacity per cycle without increasing the number of arms or the operating crew.

Each flying unit seats two guests and combines lifting, rotating and tilting motion in a single cycle, so the ride feels more varied than a simple spinner. The structure uses a steel frame with a moulded body and integrated lighting, and the number of arms, the rotation diameter and the cycle profile are selected to match your available area and target throughput. Power is three phase 380 V on the standard configuration.

Capacity is not the only benefit. Two seats per unit let parents ride with children too small to ride alone, which widens the addressable age group and reduces the number of guardians waiting on the fence. Parks that already operate a carnival rides package often add a double flying ride as the package centrepiece because it photographs well and fills quickly.

Count guests per cycle rather than seats per arm. With two guests in every unit, a modest machine can match the hourly output of a larger single-seat ride, and the loading rhythm stays simple because both passengers board from the same side. Plan the queue for two abreast groups so families reach the gate together instead of being split at the turnstile.

Lifting and tilting create repeated cyclic loads, so the inspection programme focuses on metal fatigue at welded joints, pivot pins and the arm structure. Daily checks cover restraints, seat fixings and control response; monthly work greases pivots and inspects welds; annual inspection reviews the hydraulic or pneumatic lifting system, the drive brake and the structural fixings.
