Packing a Tower Ride for the Sea
A tower ride travels as a set of structural sections, gondolas, drive components and electrical panels. Parts are crated by sub-assembly and numbered against the drawings, and the loading plan places the sections needed first at the container doors. Structural steel is protected for the voyage, and easily damaged items such as gondola shells travel in dedicated crates with foam separation.
Assembly on Site
Assembly begins with the foundation and anchor bolt survey, then the tower sections, the rotating structure and finally the gondolas. Torque values, bolt grades and shim positions come from the factory drawings, and we ask for photographs at each stage so the factory can confirm the work remotely. A small crane is enough for a ride of this size.
Commissioning and Safety Checks
Commissioning covers the drive and brake, rotation limits, gondola suspension, restraint locking and the emergency stop, followed by a full operating cycle under load. Guest operations start only after the checks are signed. Records from that day – electrical readings, test results and the handover checklist – become the park’s inspection file.
